The Biggest Profit Leaks Don’t Show Up On Your P&L
Ben McAdam
The biggest profit leaks don’t show up on your P&L (Profit and Loss).
A quick way to find a profit leak is to go through your P&L and find software subscriptions that you’re not using.
Cutting a software subscription is easy and the $200/month savings is helpful, but it’s not as impactful as reclaiming your week from low value work.
Because with more time, you can make thousands more dollars in your business.
But that profit leak, your week full of low value work, isn’t listed on the P&L.
Just like team productivity and capacity.
Your business could be paying for the team, whether or not they’re actually working on the thing that will be most impactful, and that doesn’t show up on the P&L either.
Your P&L shows you the numbers, and that’s really useful for a lot of the reasons that I’ve said in a lot of the other articles here.
But the P&L doesn’t tell you where all the profit is hiding.
