Creating space for the one thing
Ben McAdam
Last week, I didn’t post anything on social media.
Not because I forgot. Not because I didn’t care.
But because I was focused on building a big marketing asset.
That required clear headspace. So I paused the smaller tasks. I created time for the bigger move. And I made more progress in a few days than I had in weeks.
Sometimes, the plan is that simple: press pause, clear the decks, and give yourself permission to focus.
I even did this outside of business. I hired a gardener to pull out all the weeds in my yard and lay down weed mat. I could have done it myself, but buying back that time meant I could think, plan, and work on what matters most.
Protecting your space for the important thing often looks like saying “no” to busy work… and sometimes, paying for help.
What could you do to create space for the important thing?
