Using AI for content without losing your voice
Ben McAdam
I’ve been trying to up the quality and quantity of the content I do, and testing out different ways to use AI for that.
Three things I’ve been thinking about:
1. Baby step the habit.
Any time I’m trying to start a new habit, especially one that’s out of my comfort zone, I baby step my way in. I make it super easy to overcome the resistance.
Using AI a lot was helpful to get something out there and build the habit. It’s like going to the gym: you just focus on getting there, not on doing a big workout.
2. Your voice is the asset.
I need to be saying things, not the AI, because the thing that makes me unique is me. The thing that helps us stand out is our voice.
3. AI as editor, not author.
Using AI for feedback, proofreading, and publishing — but being careful that the feedback doesn’t remove the “me” from it.
How are you using AI for content? Similar? Something different?
